Why Individual Lessons?

Have you tried everything and you and your puppy or dog are even more disconnected than before?

Your puppy/dog is hyperactive, doesn't listen, or is showing behavioral concerns?

Maybe you just got a new puppy or adopted a new rescue dog and want to start out your relationship with the best help you can?

Well you are in the right place, we customize our lessons to fit the needs of you!

Individual Lessons

Looking for customized dog training that supports the goals you have in mind and builds a better partnership with your puppy or dog?

Then Individualized dog training lessons are what you are looking for. There is not a one size fits all with dog training, just like with humans, they have varying needs, reinforcement history and genetics. So a cookie cutter method will not work. Individual lessons are designed to determine goals, devise a training plan (and reevaluate as needed), to teach your puppy or dog how to be the best companion they can be! We work closely with you and your puppy/dog and teach you how to be a training partner with your four legged companion.

Individual lessons are an hour in length. The first lesson is typically gathering information (history, training goals, expectations, setting up management, and potentially starting some training). Around 50 minutes, we start to finish up and allow for questions and other pertinent details.

Why only an hour?

Well most dogs, and especially puppies will mentally tire out. As well as us humans can only focus on so many topics in a short amount of time and retain them.

Where do we meet?

Majority of our individual lessons are scheduled in your home. We do this because that is where the majority of concerns arise and well that is where our puppy/dog is spending a lot of time. We do offer to utilize our training building (that is used for group classes), or meet out in public to address any concerns there when we deem the dog is ready.

We do not just teach you how to interact with your puppy or dog, but teach you both how to navigate through the everyday real life situations. We are able to focus on you and your puppy/dogs needs and build in tools to successfully master these skills.

Just some of the few topics that can be addressed:

Basic Obedience

Build Confidence

Dog or Human Reactivity

House Manners

Impulse Control

Kids and Puppies/Dogs

Leash Manners

New Adoption/Rescue

Puppy Training (House Training, Puppy Biting, Crate Training)

Relaxation

Resource Guarding

Separation Anxiety

Tricks

And Much More

Typically you will be needing more than one lesson. We recommend once weekly training sessions, with no more than two weeks between so we do not fall behind on training. Package discounts are available and we encourage them.

We use a gentle approach with scientific based training! We are advocates of positive reinforcement methods, as we feel that is the only way to partner with our dog. Because isn't that why we got a puppy/dog in the first place?
